Five years have passed and everything has changed: Susan has entered into a new relationship with a new man; Gaby struggles to parent two young children and help Carlos, who remains blind; Bree has built up a catering business with help from Katherine, who is living in Bree's shadow; Lynette and Tom have difficulty parenting their teenaged twins; and Edie returns to Wisteria Lane complete with a mysterious new husband.

Lynette discovers her son, Porter, has a softer side, which she finds endearing; Gaby amusingly attempts to mask her demise in social stature; and the time has come for the men in Susan's life to meet. Meanwhile Bree begins to feel the pressures of balancing marriage and a career, Edie is reminded just how hostile the neighbors on Wisteria Lane can be, and a suspicious Mrs. McCluskey enlists Katherine's help to uncover more about their new neighbor, Dave.

Danielle returns to Wisteria Lane and is bombarded with criticism. Gaby and Susan find themselves in a catfight with one another due to their children; Lynette finds that Dave and Tom have formed a garage band; and Katherine and Mrs. McCluskey team up to press Edie for more information over lunch.

Bree's new found success causes the rest of the women on Wisteria Lane to feel envious. Lynette longs to return to her days as an ad-executive, and finds an outlet as Bree's marketing manager. Mike feels that he is not a big enough presence in his son's life after M.J. draws a family portrait and leaves him out. Meanwhile, Gaby comes up with a way to have more sex with Carlos.

As flashbacks provide a glimpse into the past five years, Dave convinces Susan to throw Mrs. McCluskey a surprise 70th birthday party. Meanwhile, Jackson tries to take his relationship with Susan to the next level; Gaby worries that she is pregnant; Tom reveals he sold the pizzeria; and the mystery behind Bree and Katherine's friendship is revealed.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Gaby is over the moon when Carlos' client makes them an offer they can't refuse, but a startling discovery leaves her second guessing; Lynette grows suspicious that Tom is cheating on her; and after breaking up with Jackson, Susan tries to surprise him, only to find the surprise is on her. Meanwhile, the bond between Bree and Katherine grows, and Mrs. McCluskey enlists the help of her sister to dig up dirt on Dave.

Meanwhile, Susan learns of Jackson's true passion, and Mrs. McCluskey's sister unearths a disturbing fact about Dave. Desire is an emotion which proves to be dangerous. Lynette and Tom discover the unsettling truth about their son Porter; Gabrielle believes Carlos' best client is hiding an ulterior motive, and Katherine's not so small of a secret is unveiled.

Susan’s daughter comes to visit with her surprising new boyfriend; Gaby uncovers the unsettling truth about Mrs. Hildebrand’s past; Katherine has a confession to make to Susan; a reporter looks to expose Bree’s imperfections; and Lynette learns Porter and Anne Schilling plan to leave Fairview and disappear. Meanwhile, everyone has gathered at a club to see the guys play in the annual Battle of the Bands when a fire erupts, threatening the lives of those in attendance. Some will fall as a hero will rise.

Carlos and Gaby find that injuries due to the fire may work to their benefit. However, others aren't so lucky. Lynette and Tom have to protect Porter; Susan must deal with the loss of the man she loves; and Orson's attempt to get a good night's sleep spells disaster for Bree on the day of her big cooking demonstration.

Lynette goes to all lengths possible to protect her son as Carlos begins to see all the sacrifices Gaby has had to make for him and their family. Meanwhile, Bree tries to show Andrew that she has accepted him; Susan and Mike begin to see what their relationship has become; and Dave’s temper starts to get the best of him.

Bree and Alex’s mom clash over their sons’ affection. Gaby wants Carlos to accept the six-figure job offer, even though he would be away from the house more often. With Jackson away, Susan turns to Lee for company. Preston is caught by Lynette talking to Porter on the telephone. Edie has grown tired of Dave, who’s strange behavior hasn’t abated.

Susan and Edie find themselves alone together when they become locked in a basement. Meanwhile, Bree begins to plot against Andrew's future mother-in-law; Gaby and Carlos lose control of their children; Lynette has to turn to an unexpected person to help find Porter; and Dave gets closer to exacting his plot.

When the neighborhood handyman, Eli Scruggs, passes away, the residents of Wisteria Lane come together to remember how he affected each of their lives. Gaby recalls how she learned how to make friends when she arrived thanks to Eli’s advice. Lynette remembers how he came to her aid when she felt overwhelmed and was neglectful of Penny. Susan recalls how he was always there when a man would walk out of her life. Edie remembers the special friendship she had with Eli and Bree thinks fondly of a small gesture he gave which would have a big effect.

Bree buys herself a new car following the success of her new book while Tom and Lynette sell the mustang for some much needed money. Meanwhile, Susan tries to find a way to get MJ into the best school; Gaby joins Edie's no nonsense boot camp to get her figure back; and Lee must decide whether to tell Lynette and Tom about Dave.

Susan begins a new job to provide for MJ, and becomes both angered and jealous when Katherine is allowed to babysit him by Mike. Lynette tries to convince Tom to sell off the pizzeria which is losing money due to the recession. Carlos receives a big bonus now that Gaby has uncovered his bosses dirty secret. Orson is upset when Bree gives Andrew a raise. Dave has grown tired of all the suspicions the neighbors have surrounding him.

Trying to be a good friend, Bree offers to help Tom find a new job, but her intentions backfire and end up revealing Orson’s past. Meanwhile, Gaby finds herself in an awkward position when Carlos’ cheating boss uses her as a cover for his adulterous ways. Elsewhere, Edie begins to dig into Dave’s past.

Susan tries to impress Jessie, the art teacher, but she sends the wrong signals to her. Meanwhile, Gaby convinces Carlos to hire Lynette; Bree tries to distance herself from Orson’s habit; and Edie continues to dig into Dave’s past.

Bree contemplates selling her business in order to revive her marriage. Meanwhile, Lynette is threatened at work; Katherine is caught in an unforseen circumstance; and Edie's worst fear begins to come true.

Edie becomes the subject as the other housewives reminisce about her: with Susan recalling the first time they met; Lynnette remembers an unforgettable night; Gaby remembers an evening of friendly competition; and Bree remembers how thoughtful she was towards Orson.

Carlos finds Lynette in a compromising situation, and Lynette decides to hide it from Tom. Meanwhile, Gaby covers for Tom; Orson tries to hide the truth from Bree; and Susan confides in Dave.

Bree falls to a new low in order to get the best lawyer on her side. Meanwhile, Tom and Lynette discuss sex; Katherine tries to trick Mike in order to win his heart; and Jackson returns to town with a startling proposal.

Bree goes to great lengths to hide her true motives from Orson. Susan and Jackson put on an act to deceive the police; Tom goes to the extreme to look younger; and Katherine continues to hide the truth from Mike.

Gaby and an old friend who has lost everything run into each other, Lynette is not that happy when Tom decides to go back to school, Orson threatens Bree with blackmail, and Susan accepts a friendly gesture from Dave.

Lynette adapts to Tom's decision to go back to school, Orson takes a beating that Bree cannot comprehend, Gaby's niece moves to Wisteria Lane, and Susan and MJ's lives are in grave danger at the hands of Dave.
